22/06/05 - Julian and Nik form The Camelia Flower : Julian and Nik recently got together to record some material they wrote for VE but never got worked up or played live by the band. The 7 track CD, "Walking Through Walls" is realsed very soon, anyone who wants a copy please email Julian.

22/06/05 - Nik around the world! : One of the main reasons for VE splitting was guitarist Nik deciding to go round the world. You can keep up with his movements in his web blog here!

2/02/05 - Sorry but we had to go: Venetian Effect have decided to split up following our show at the Classic Rock Bar (full site update to follow) due to other commitments. Julian, Steve and Liam will continue in another guise, though will not use the Venetian Effect name, Nik will continue with music in the future, though just not yet and I'm sure we havn't heard the last of Frazer. We'd just like to put our hands together and salute all the people who have supported us since our inception in 2002... we couldn't have had this much fun without you... best of Venetian Effect anyone???

2/02/05 - Square One: As some of you may have noticed, Square One was not released at the CRB, and the release has been shelved and in it's place, "Exit Strategy - the best of Venetian Effect" will be available at some point before June... stay tuned!

2/12/04 - Halifax Gig: we played a blinder in Halifax the other weekend, supporting Liams working band, Sherman, who played a pretty good set of mod tinged covers... book em for ya wedding!

19/11/04 - Green Room : Liam and Julain Rocked the Green Room on tuesday, playing some acoustic VE songs, including the new song, Our Time is now and a cover of Stereophonics' Loacal boy in the photograph, Liam sang and the response was good from the crowd.

19/11/04 - Halifax gig! we'll be playing in Halifax at the Bowling Green, anyone, who is in the area, please feel free to come down and give us some support... other than that we'll be back, playing in Sheffield on the 30th of November doing the acoustic night at the Green Room
