A big thanks to those of you who came along to the Green Room gig yesterday. There are photos from the gig here and also a run down of the set list here.

Other news: I've started jamming with a new band and things are sounding positive. Keep watching this space (if you are extremely bored, otherwise just pop back and have a look once a month or so!).

A few bits of news:
For those of you not yet aware Dead Empires have now officially split, due to "musical and personal" differences between members of the band (not me I might add!!). I was very frustrated with the break-up but I'm now getting over it.
I have yet another gig booked at the Green Room - this time for Wednesday 27th June - hope to see you there (full details on the gigs page). While I'm on many thanks for those of you who came along to the gig last week - much appreciated.
Finally many of you are asking for news on the latest album. Production/recording has been delayed as I spend time working on the garden (yes I can't think of an excuse that's any less rock 'n' roll). I'm still hoping to take some leave in the summer and dedicate a few weeks to recording...

Another solo gig is booked for Wenesday 9th May at the Green Room. I hope to have some more new songs ready to perform. Check out the gigs page for the full listing.

As a taste of what's to come I've uploaded a demo version of "Here is Your Someday" onto MySpace. A final version of this will appear at some point on "Sounds of Evening" which will be ready by the summer.

The lyrics to this song were written by Nik Gill. And here they are:
Here is Your Someday
Listen to the sound of morning rising
answer firstly to the questions
you never left me, you're still here
in my mind, in my brain, in my head
Today is the first day, of the rest of your life
I hope you live in interesting times
Clamour to the sound of daybreak
come in from the cold of nightlight
I see lightness still moving fast
you're on my mind, still in my head
Today is the first day, of the rest of your life
I hope you live in interesting times
Dream as if you'll live forever
live as if you die today
here is your someday
Living to the sounds of evening
pass your message under the door
*here is your someday
*here is your someday
*here is your someday
Today is the first day, of the rest of your life
I hope you live in interesting times
*here is your someday
*here is your someday
*This is your someday
*here is your someday
*here is your someday
*here is your someday
*Come embrace it like you should
*here is your someday
*here is your someday
*Come embrace it like you should
This is a very basic recording but I found the lyrics and general mood of the song quite uplifting so I thought I'd share my work in progress. I hope to beef up the music, and re-record the vocals over the coming months. Hopefully by the summer I'll have the full album out. It would be nice to see some of you at the Green Room on Wednesday when I'll be playing some new songs, including this one.

Some more gigs lined up. Alternative Eden play The Nelson on Friday 13th October, I'll be playing an acoustic gig with Steve Spray at the Green Room on Wednesday 18th October and finally another Alternative Eden gig is booked for Sunday 26th November at The Black Bull in Aston-cum-Aughton. It would be great to see some friendly faces at these gigs. Find out more on the gigs page.

Thanks to all those who came along to the gigs on 6th September and 13th September. Both went great because of your support. Strange how the 13th worked out though...it was meant to be a Alternative Eden gig but first Liam's gear got nicked and then Steve was ill so it turned into another solo gig for me! Luckily Steve managed to get up and do one song - the Alternative Eden classic "Exit". Anyway check out the photos from the gig on the 13th on the images page.

Unfortunately
the gig on the 25th at the Green Room has been cancelled. Keep checking back
here to see when a new date will crop up (hopefully September).
